Responders provide immediate care to patients in their local areas where the prompt arrival of an ambulance may be delayed due to a number of factors. They are trained to deliver care in a range of emergency situations, including Basic Life Support, defibrillation in Cardiac Arrest situations, and oxygen administration in a range of conditions. Such emergency situations can occur at any time.
