According to the definition by Dr. Robert Twycross (trustee at PACED up to December 2021), palliative care isholistic, person-centred care for patients with incurable, progressive, life-limiting disease, and their families - care beyond cure. PACED supports the advancement of education and training in the provision of palliative care in countries worldwide where PC is underdeveloped.
