HE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:1) PROVIDING PRACTICAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES; AND2) RAISING AWARENESS AMONG THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT ALL ASPECTS OF VISUAL IMPAIRMENT.
